Document Design

These projects showcase my layout design and information organization skills. I created them using branding guidelines and style guides.

Medicare 101

Project Type

Educational information packet

Tools

Microsoft PowerPoint

While working for North Risk Partners, one of my tasks was to design a Medicare education packet, which would be given to clients by risk advisors. The Director of Benefits gave me a previous version of the document, which was not created according to company branding standards and was in 10-pt font. My job was to redesign the packet according to company branding standards and to make the document more usable.

Some of the design decisions I made:

  • Increased font size to boost readability
  • Used color and font weights to emphasize important information and aid scannability
  • Defined acronyms, initialisms, and abbreviations (e.g., IRMAA (Income Related Monthly Adjusted Amount))

Services Information Packet

Project Type

Marketing packet

Tools

Adobe InDesign

This project is a packet of marketing materials that I designed while working at North Risk Partners. Risk advisors could provide the marketing packet as a collective or a single page individually. The document advertises services provided by one of North Risk Partners’ service partners, SyncStream Solutions. I received a Word document with the text to include on each page.

My responsibilities were:

  • organize the information
  • design the page layouts
  • find stock images that align with brand standards

Additionally, I created a map graphic for the State ACA Filings page.
